The Phoenix Police Museum is proud to be working with Phoenix Police Department to continue to take a lead role in honoring our fallen employees. The memorial badge is an example of that commitment. It features the Phoenix Police badge with several aspects taken from the Phoenix Police Memorial created in 1996. The badge background is silver tone for Police officers and non-sworn employees, and Gold tone for sworn supervisors. The top ribbon is customized to your rank with “Remembering” underneath in black representing a memorial shroud. “Those who passed before us” is in the center of the badge and is an inscription from the Phoenix Police memorial. The winged warrior wears an officer uniform, with the sword and shield and represents the figure rising, like the Phoenix bird, from the ashes of destruction. The badge also has the National Law Enforcement Memorial Logo with the blue shield and red rose to honor those fellow officers across the country that has made the ultimate sacrifice. The serial number or civilian “A” is at the bottom of the badge. The badge also comes with a black presentation case.
